Took the plunge and ordered some U.S kit. Not sure whether to be happy or dismayed about it to be honest!

Yay for Heide!

And, It's INFANTRY kit, not airborne!

Be happy about it, like me. :good:

Finished off applying the finishing oil to my SMLE. I put it back together this morning before coming to work. God it looks gorgeous! :D

Today I...

Rang SoF about an order that seemed to be taking a while. They said they'd get back to me. They just did and told me it has just been shipped. What a coincidence, not!

Washed my new DAK cap, in an attempt to lighten it down. Jeez does that red interior run. I now have pink fingers.

Just leave it out in the sun, it will soon start to fade. Mine has gone from a dark olive (was darker than my uniform) to a sandy yellow and that was with the winter sun. I also used it as an oil cloth when working on my garden panzer so it looks nicely battered and stained.

Am packing the car full of lovely bang stuff to do SFX for the "battle" at Rothley Statin - Great Central Railway!

Will be there all weekend with Emm and Rich and we will be putting on a scramble erm - skirmish in the car park - 251 halftrack there, GD boys, Der Fuhrer and Das Heer. Tommy Atkins pops in at half two to slaughter the Hun then back to Quorn for a spot of tiffin!

Say hello if you waft in won't you chaps. I'm the portly geezer in an Eichenlaub Panzercombi and lickle black 'at!

LOOK! I ham now four meggle man!
